I should have posted this prior to the "we made it home post," but alas, I forgot. When we fly out of Bloomington, we typically have about a 45 minute layover in Atlanta, then we head on to Bermuda. However, on our recent trip, we had about a 20 hour layover instead! Weather prevented us from taking off on time in Bloomington, and by the time we landed in Atlanta, we had about 15 minutes to get to our connection. Sadly, we did not make it, despite sprinting through the airport carrying 60 pounds of confused toddler.
The bright side of this is that we got to enjoy an impromptu day with Brad's Uncle Steve and Aunt Tonya, who live in the greater Atlanta area! They picked us up from the airport, saving us from the discount hotel the airline wanted to put us up at!
We got to pick strawberries and raspberries from their garden!
